It is no lie that I love a cool maxi. They are so comfortable to wear and the options are endless with what you can wear with them. For this post, I chose three different clothing styles to give more versatile options.
1) A mix of something feminine with a touch of edginess.
2) A more casual and comfortable style.
3) A boho style that I would consider a bit more dressy.
If you would like to see how I achieved these different looks, read on to see 3 different ways to style maxi skirts!
This Route 66 crop top was the perfect edgy touch for this pleated maxi skirt which I wear all the time. Although none of these things were thrifted, that top was a good score at Ross, only $7.99!
I added a mixture of bracelets to bring some cool edginess to the look. The black lace up sandals are amazing, I’m in love with them and wear them often.
This look is more casual and would be appropriate for most any day time adventure. It is so comfortable to wear and is effortless. The cream crop top falls perfectly at the top of the skirt so just a peek of skin shows. I love the high neck of the top as well, that style is very flattering.
I tossed on my favorite gold watch with a couple gold statement rings and that double tiered necklace. The gold and white jeweled sandals are another one of my go to’s. They add some glam to the outfit and yet are sandals so they’re comfortable and not overly dressed up.
This look is certainly more dressed up and definitely shows my love for all things boho. And in this look is one item that was indeed thrifted for $4.99, care to take a guess as to which item it is? The maxi skirt! It is a neutral color but the pattern is awesome and pairing it with more modern pieces revamps it. You can see it has a pretty high side slit which I think is sexy.
This mix of bracelets is perfect for this look, especially that turquoise number on my hand! I actually have another thrifted item mixed among these bad boys and it is that gold etched bangle on the bottom which was a whopping .99! You may recognize my open toed heels from my Mother’s Day outfit post but again these are one of my favorites so you will, more than likely, see them again.
That about sums up how you can achieve 3 different looks with maxi skirts. Hope these help inspire you to build some cool outfits with your maxi skirts.
