New Years Eve Outfits
Hey Guys!
Can you believe 2016 is almost over? I don’t know about you, but time seems to go by faster and faster the older I get. It is so important to stop and enjoy moments every now and then before you blink and they’re over. What were your favorite moments this year? One of mine was certainly starting this blog, it has been so fun and I have so much more in store!
So for this post, I put together a couple outfit ideas for New Years. I opted out of anything super fancy this year, with one pretty casual outfit and one maybe a little dressed up. They do both contain thrifed items so that goes to show you that you can find anything at the thrift store if you set your mind to it. To see the outfits I put together as well as some similar pieces you can buy if you like what you see, continue reading!
This is the more casual of the two, but it this could totally be dressed up if you tossed on a skirt instead of the pants. The top is an awesome thrift find, I love how exaggerated the collar is. It also has a low back which is sexy. Since the top I have is thrifed, I found a couple other options that have a similar feel here and here. I decided to pair it with some faux leather pants with zipper detailing (similar ones here)and my velvet booties (similar ones here) which you can also see here and here. I wore my hair up in a top knot so it wouldn’t take away from the collar. For my makeup, I did a grey smokey eye with some eye liner and big lashes. I was so excited to try out this cool purple liquid lipstick from OFRA in the shade Bordeaux.
For the dressier of the two outfits I kept the dress simple and paired it with this pretty beaded kimono style jacket I thrifted. You can find a similar dress here and it was pretty hard to find a similar kimono so I found this awesome cape as a good substitute. I opted for a chunky clear stone necklace (similar one here) and my lace-up heels (similar here) which you also saw in this post. For my makeup I did a lighter version of what I did before, a softer smokey eye with softly blended eyeliner and flirty false lashes. I went for this bubblegum pink lipstick from Urban Decay in the shade Obsessed.
Hope you get some inspiration from these looks and if you do recreate anything tag me on social media and don’t forget to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, twitter, and Pinterest to see what else I am up to and where I get my inspiration. Have a happy and safe New Years celebration and I will see you in 2017!
