DIY Moscow Mule Gift Basket
Hi friends!
This time I wanted to show something a little different. I made a personalized gift basket for one of my friends’ birthday and so I thought I would share it with you to show you that you can avoid over paying for prepackaged gift baskets and in addition to that, personalize it so it can feel even more special.
So my friend happens to love Moscow Mules and I knew she had a couple copper cups that she usually used for that. Then the idea came to get her a personalized mule mug with her initials. However, all the ones I could find were engraved and not all that special so I started brainstorming ideas to make it more unique. To find out how I put her basket together, continue reading.
So I bought the mug, here is a cool one I found, and then found these awesome metal letters at hobby lobby and affixed them, only after my lovely husband helped shape them to better fit the mug with a hammer. I used a product called goop which creates a permanent waterproof bond on most every surface including metal. You can find it here.
I’ll give you one guess as to where I found the cool basket to put everything in, yep that’s right it was a perfect thrift find. I already had the tissue paper and stuffing for the basket so all I had to do was put it all together!
Included in the basket was her personalized mug, ginger beer, vodka, lime, and mint which for those of you who may not know what a Moscow mule is, those are all the ingredients needed to make one.
I love putting my personal touch on gifts because it makes it so much more special! What are some of your favorite ways to give your gifts that little extra something?
