Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Mask Review
Hey Guys!
Who else enjoys a little pampering? Especially after a particularly long day, a little at home pampering session is just what I need. So I was sent this Erno Laszlo Hydrate and Nourish mask to try out. It is a two-step hydra-therapy skin vitality treatment. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to doing a little at home spa session. If you are curious what I thought of it just keep reading!
Packaging & Product
This product comes with four masks to a box. There are two steps to make this mask, a liquid and a powder. You pour the liquid into a bowl and then the powder and are to mix vigorously for 45-60 seconds until you have a smooth consistently. Then you apply the mixture to your face using the little stirring spatula and allow it to sit for 15-20 minutes. Finally you peel the mask off your face.
The mask is supposed to leave your skin feeling soothed, hydrated, and plumped. It says it reduces the appearance of fine lines and enhances the skin’s natural radiance. Once you apply it to the skin you are supposed to feel a cooling sensation.
It contains some pretty amazing ingredients. It has Provitamin B5, a penetrating moisturizer, which delivers antioxidant support and strengthens the healing processes as well as skin’s vital moisture barrier. Also, it has Comfrey root which is a natural source of relief to sensitive or irritated skin, to sooth as it encourages skin repair and renewal. It also has Zinc extract to defy sun damage, and other pollutants, while calming skin with its naturally antiseptic powers.
It is available in a 4 pack from Sephora or in a 28 pack for a 28 day skin rejuvenation on the brand’s website. It is very pricey, like $400 pricey for the 28 day rejuvenation but if your skin is really in need it might be worth the price tag. This product has amazing reviews so if you’re curious what my thoughts are and if it’s worth your money keep on reading!
What Do I Think?
I was incredibly impressed with this mask even after one use. It left my skin feeling so smooth and hydrated and it really did look radiant. I could see a difference in areas that had some rough skin or fine lines that they did appear slightly less noticeable even with just one use. So if you were really struggling with fine lines this product might work well for you!
Now I don’t know if this is a permanent fix entirely. It seems as though it does repair skin to some extent, especially if you do the 28 day rejuvenation, going by the list of ingredients. As far as fine lines go, I’m not positive if this would permanently reduce their appearance. But it is very promising that I saw some improvement with just one use.
The only downside for me is that the “cooling” sensation you feel was slightly uncomfortable for my skin. I don’t really have super sensitive skin so the fact that this mask felt a little irritating was a bit off putting. It wasn’t bad enough that I wouldn’t want to use it again, it is just worth noting.
You also have to make sure you mix it rather well, I made the mistake the first time of not mixing it entirely so when I put it on my face it was super lumpy and therefore didn’t actually peel off as it was supposed to. That was kind of user error though, not really the product’s flaw. Just be sure to mix it for the full 45-60 seconds.
I think this product would be great to use before an event or night out to give your skin a nice glow. Or while you are traveling! Airplanes tend to suck all the moisture out of your skin so this might be nice to repair your skin after traveling and being in the sun.
I could also see this being great during the winter months when your skin is super dry. That’s where the 4 pack comes in handy. You can use one here and there when needed. And as I said before, if you have very dry or damaged skin it might be worth the price tag to try out the 28 day system to give your skin a whole refresh.
Overall do I recommend this mask? If you are looking to spend money on quality skin care to really make a change to your skin this is a great product. There are plenty of other hydrating masks out there for a fraction of the cost but they don’t have all the same benefits that this product offers. If you are simply looking for some hydration, this probably isn’t the best buy for you but if you want a deeper level of skin care then definitely consider trying this product out.
Good skin care comes with a price tag, and skin is the largest organ of your body. That’s why when it comes to skin care, it’s worth it sometimes to spend the money. That’s my thoughts on it!
