Quick Everyday Makeup Routine
Hi friends!
I was talking to one of my friends about makeup one day and we got on the topic of a 5 minute face. She suggested I do a post about what products I use when I get ready in the morning because I manage to get a full face of makeup done in less than 10 minutes, yes not quite 5 but certainly less than 10! So hopefully you find this useful and maybe find some new products to try after this post! I will include links to every product I use in case you do want to give them a try.
I am always on the hunt for new makeup products so I regularly switch up what brands I use however the type of products I use for my everyday quick face of makeup are the same. For example I always use a foundation, a blush, a bronzer, etc. they just might not always be the same foundation, blush, bronzer etc. I do have a couple favorites in this post that I always go back to which I will name as we go. Continue reading to get all the details!
I always use a primer because my skin gets oily throughout the day and I find this helps my makeup last through the day. This one is cool because it is light infusing which means it brightens the skin in addition to priming the skin for foundation. You can find it here.
This foundation is definitely one of my favorites that I always go back to. They have different versions for different skin types and their color range is quite large, which makes it a lot easier to find a match to your skin. It does last through my whole day and doesn’t cake up on my skin so it looks natural. I included the shade I use for reference and you can find it here.
This is Tarte’s Amazonian clay waterproof bronzer in Park Avenue Princess. It really does last through the day; I haven’t tested it’s waterproof claim but I wouldn’t be surprised if it held true! I use this on my cheeks and forehead as a light contour to help shape my face. I also use this in my eye creases to add depth to my eyes. It definitely helps save time to use one product for multiple things so that is one way to help cut back your makeup time. You can find it here.
Blush is definitely one product that I often switch up but this brand, Makeup Geek, is definitely a favorite of mine and their blush is amazing. It is super pigmented so a little goes a long way, it’s easy to blend and definitely has some lasting power. This color is called Covet and you can find it here.
This highlight is definitely a favorite but I do switch up highlighters pretty often. This is Becca’s shimmering skin perfector in Champagne Pop. It is a beautiful warm gold highlight that I put on the top of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and dust lightly on the center of my forehead. Now I am dead serious when I say use a light hand with this product, too much and you will look lit up like a Christmas tree. This is quite pricey but since you only need a light tap of the product, it will last for a very long time and believe me it is so worth it. You can find it here.
These are all the products I use on my eyes and brows. I have yet to find a brow product that I am in love with but so far this L’Oreal pencil has been pretty good. Overall it stays pretty well but it can smudge and will rub off somewhat if you rub your finger over your brows which are not things you want in your brow product. However, it does have some lasting power and the very fine tip makes it easy to use plus there is an added bonus of the spooli at the opposite end to brush your brows saves a little time and makes it worth a try! If you are looking for something to try you can find it here.
Next is a mineral eye shadow by Marsk in the shade You’re Toast. Eye shadow is definitely one product I change up everyday but this is one of my favorites. Anything you can use your finger to apply cuts down on time and is just easier. This shade is like a bronzey gold color and I put this on my lids, it’s beautiful! You can find it here.
This eyeliner is hands down the best I’ve tried for my waterline. It is the Modster Smooth Ride Super Charged Eyeliner by Ardency Inn in black. I use this on my upper waterline to give the illusion of a thicker lash line. It lasts the whole day and does not smudge at all, I love it! You can find it here.
I have found a new favorite mascara! I got the trial size of this to try out and I love it, I will definitely be buying the full size. This holds a curl and does not clump, it can be volumizing if you do a few coats and it does not smudge or flake off at all. You can find it here.
That’s it for my quick every day makeup routine. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read! Do you use any of these products in your routine as well? What is your one must have product for everyday?
