My Review
Ok so as someone who loves a good sunless tanner I have to say I’m super impressed. This stuff was easy to apply, truly was streak free, and so far has maintained good color for 5 days with one re-application. The re-application was more of a second coat because I don’t think I applied enough product the first time round so my tan came out not quite as dark as I would have liked.
But it was a super easy fix and I love the color I got after using more product. I love that the color is build-able so you really have control over how the tan turns out. It actually looks a bit darker in person than that picture.
When applying it is suggested to use a tanning mitt or a big kabuki brush, I opted for the mitt. I tried spraying the product both onto the mitt as directed and also directly on the skin. I think it comes out better when spraying it onto the mitt first.
I also made sure to first put the body butter all over my feet in a pretty generous layer and a thin layer on my knees and elbows. This helps keep the sunless tanner from going on darker in those drier areas of skin. And it did the trick. I also suggest wearing gloves so you don’t end up with orange hands. Even when using a mitt you might accidentally get some product on your hands when spraying or if you accidentally brush up against the product before it dries on your skin.
That brings me to another positive point. This stuff dries really fast. Like by the time I was done applying it already felt dry to the touch. It recommends waiting 8-10 minutes but I found that was totally not necessary. I did make sure to wear all black clothing though which I always recommend when using any sunless tanner.
I started with my legs then worked my way up. I did my hands, feet, and face last so that I was mainly just using leftover product on the mitt so the color wouldn’t come out too dark or orange. I am skeptical of using sunless tanners on my face and usually I don’t but I wanted to fully test this out. I really like the way it came out on my face and it didn’t break my skin out. It came out nice and even and the color was perfect.
I have to mention that the sugar and seed exfoliator smells incredible. Like so incredible. And I love how it left my skin feeling. It turns into kind of a lotion as you are washing it off so it doesn’t leave any oily residue on your skin. It just left my skin feeling super soft and took away all the dryness I had.
The moisturizer and body butter also smell really nice and I like that they are all the same scent so you aren’t having to use a few different scents at one time. I don’t like to smell like a walking bath and body store. I like to use the moisturizer all over and the body butter is great for those extra dry spots like knees, elbows, around my heels, and on my feet.
That's It!
Overall I highly recommend you try this stuff out for yourself! Even if you just try the sunless tanner, although I totally recommend the delicious exfoliator and the moisturizers to maintain the tan. But at $20 for the sunless tanner it is very affordable and well worth trying. And some exciting news, from now until July 31st, you can get 15% off your purchase with the code BeautifulMe.
